Together, finding our way

outta the deep shit

It’s going to take realtalk, consciousness, humility, listening, collaborating, & acting as one to get out of this Democrat-Republican fiasco.

11 days out from a new commander-in-chief. Mainstream media continues to saturate popular consciousness with tweedle dee, tweedle dum scenarios passed off as news: the polls say there’s a dead heat; red-state, blue-state yo-yo reports tell voters nothing about bread & butter issues, the Dooms Day Clock, or the international conflagration of affairs stirred by US desire for unipolarity in world affairs that‘s driving up food & housing costs. Historian Gerald Horne summed up the situation, referring to a statement by former candidate Cornell West,  If you vote for the Republicans you’re voting for civil war, if you vote for the Democrats, you’re voting for World War 3.

Either way, the results of the November 5th election will leave most Americans & the people of the world exactly where they were days before the votes were cast—in deep shit. The cesspool is overflowing! It’s running in the streets of all the Western world capitols. Here in the empire, the poor & near-poor[1] are suffering in ways that haven’t been seen since the last economic downturn in 2008. That one gave us Obama. This one will give us even worse—Harris pr Trump. Either way, we lose.

The people of Palestine will continue to be ethnically cleansed & genocided. The Zionists in Tel Aviv will continue to push the US to war with Iran. 14 million people displaced in Sudan with more than a million dead will find fewer safe places to nest, & the destabilization & colonization of Ethiopia by UAE, Egypt & Turkiye will continue apace.

Certainly, the politicians cannot be relied on for answers to the domestic & international issues facing commonfolk here or abroad, or even for reliable input. We have only ourselves to depend upon or blame, & the segment of the social order most likely to bring us the truth of our real situation continues to be the Poetz.

My God, what are you saying, man!?!

If safety (whatever that is) is to be found, it must come from within. Our innerstanding must increase & it’s the Poetz who can lite that spark of recognition that unites spirit, body, & mind. It’s the Poetz wound & words that can align sensation, perception, & action. The Poetz can ignite the collective fire that warms hearts & brings people together in solution circles.

But the Poetz can’t do it without your active participation. Poetz need your buy-in! Together one step, one conversation, one action at a time, we can rebuild community as the essential ingredient of our lives, using our collective intelligence to find paths forward out of the shit we’ve allowed others to create in our name & on our dime. Join the Poetz, let’s write this epic poem as the next generation’s inheritance together!

[1] According to recent data, around 76% of Americans are considered to be either poor or near-poor, meaning their income falls below 150% of the official poverty line at some point between the ages of 20 and 75.
