poetry iz lyfz konversayshun with deth, revolushun smellz uv sayg & rayn

Nearly six decades after poetry first discovered Omowalé-Kétu Oladuwa on death row, poetry iz lyfz konversayshun with deth, revolushun smellz uv sayg & rayn gathers a lifetime of poeting into conversation with memory, ancestry, resistance, spirit, love, grief & becoming. Moving through Afrikan cosmology, Black memory, music, imprisonment, liberation & the everyday work of remaining hueman, the poems ask what life teaches us when we remain willing to converse with death. This is poetry as RootWork, language reaching backward for memory, inward for meaning & forward toward possibility. Follow the journey into print. Join the readings & conversations. Help bring poetry iz lyfz konversayshun with deth into community.
